Monday, April 27 - Day 83 - At Sea
Today is the last sea day of the eight since Walvis Bay. We continue on our northerly course until we are 175 nautical miles wast of Cap Blanc on the Mauritanian coast when we will head northeast to our port of call.
With sunrise not until 7:45AM we are really lazy today. We go to breakfast and barely finish in time for Dick to make it to Lord Howard's lecture on “The World in 2015". It is mostly about England and Europe, but a lady does ask him how he sees America and he makes some very candid remarks about how we are failing in our duty to be the strong deterrent we used to be and that is required of us for world peace.
The rest of the day is spent as the last seven have been...reading, napping and eating...what a combination!!
Sunset tonight is at 8:33PM and it is still light when we finish dinner so we stroll on the deck before going back to the room where we read for a while before turning out the lights.
